Modeling and adjustment criteria description in solving predictive and effective tasks

Abstract
This experiment evaluated the effects of modeling and describing correct responding on the performance of college students under different instructions inducing the acceptation of criteria for predictive and effective adjustment. Results showed that experimental subjects exposed to the modeling procedure performed better than control subjects. Outcomes of this experiment confirmed the importance of the local probability values and the nature of the effective adjustment task on correct performance, with some isolated effects of criterion instructions on some task.
