Los Efectos del Reforzamiento Independiente de la Respuesta sobre el Responder Adquirido con Reforzamiento demorado
Main Article Content
Abstract
Keypecking by pigeons and lever pressing by rats were acquired using delayed reinforcement. Immediately afterwards, the response-reinforcer dependency was eliminated, converting the schudules of delayed reinforcement. In Experiment 1, shifting from delayed to respose independent reinforcement did not produce uniformdecreases in the rate of pecking for all pigeons. In Experiment 2, lever pressing by rats acquired using delayed reinforcement was sustained by response-independent reinforcement for most subjects during 140 sessions. In Experiment 3 the decremental effects of respose-independent reinforcement over the rate of lever pressing by rats were found to depend on the delay used during acquisition. Maintenance of responding was worse after a history of immediate reinforcement and progressively better as the delay used during acquisition was lengthened.
